Engaging in acts of kindness produces endorphins, the brain's natural painkiller! Perpetually kind people have 23% less cortisol (the stress hormone) and age slower than the average population! A group of highly anxious individuals performed at least six acts of kindness a week.
Think of someone you're grateful for. Go to the "Make a Cheerful" page and follow the instructions to share gratitude with that person. Be sure to take a video!
Happiness comes with sharing the joy, right? Post the video of you giving a Cheerful to your social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter) using #cheerful #cheerfulgiver #bekindalways. Feel free to send us your video, too. In each post, tag one friend you want to also participate in the challenge. Gratitude is about paying it forward.
We believe gratitude isn't a one-time thing, but a way of life. So, the challenge is to find three people or things (pets, places, etc.) and make a Cheerful for each of them within a 24-hour period. Post all three videos to spread the joy!
